Mideast ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah goes into effect

Sunday, August 13, 2006 at 11:17 pm | In News | 1 Comment

Picture from Washington Post. A man in a southern suburb of Beirut shouts for help from a building struck by an Israeli missile attack minutes after the cabinet endorsed a cease-fire.

The ceasefire ends 33 days of fighting that has killed about 900 people.  MSNBC, CNN, and BBC News have more information.

I’m not sure how long the ceasefire will last, but hopefully it will be long enough the help the war torn civilians in Israel and Lebanon.
